[Review] Etude House Tiny Twinkle Color Eyes

Disclaimer: This is a limited edition palette which is not available for purchase anymore but I am reviewing it anyways because this is my favorite Eye-shadow Palette

This palette comes in three shades. I got the #01 Rose Gold Ornament because I loved the color variety in the palette

This palette has a beautiful glitter coated cardboard packaging. I was afraid that the glitter will rub off on everything and eventually wear down with use. But I have been using this for 2+ years and it looks the same.

#01 Rose Gold Ornament: The 9-color eye shadow expresses sparkly twinkle with lovely romantic rose gold tone.

There are a total of 9 colors in the palette

Shade 1: Is shimmery champagne colour , great for highlighting the inner corner or adding a wash of color to the whole lid

Shade 2 . Is a sparkly pink. It has a hint of duochrome effect . This is more of a lid topper.  Applying this to the lids with fingers gives maximum shine/color payoff

Shade 3. A matte mauve brown color. I like to use this to define my crease and lower lid

Shade 4 : this color matches my eyelid so much that I can't even figure out if its there. The stand out point has to be the tiny specks of sparkles

Shade 5 : this is very beautiful rose gold sparkles great to add a festive touch to the eyelook. Fingers work best to apply this eyeshadow

Shade 6:  this is a cinnamon brown color. It is matte and I like this to define my lash line

Shade 7: this is a beautiful shimmery copper color. I use this on its own and it really makes my makeup looks so effortless and put together

Shade 8 :  A beautiful ruddy brown matte shade that works so well as an eyeliner

Shade 9 : and lastly we have a black shade which I rarely use . This is matte color great for smoky eyemakeup or as eyeliner

I like this palette a lot. The colors are versatile and can be used for both casual and formal occasions. I use this everyday to work.

[Review] Etude House Beauty Face Blur Primer

This is probably one of the most iconic primer from Etude House that we all can recall from our highschool days. I bought this 2 years ago and I have been using this on and off all this time.

Packaging:

Is very basic and simple as you can see. A standard vacuum pump bottle with a pale peach cap. The brand changes bottle design time to time so there is a high chance that the primer bottle is going to look different when you are going to purchase it . Also I accidentally broke the pump when I dropped it on the floor one day. But it was still working

About the product:

This is designed as a multipurpose product to blur pores, brighten skin and even out skin tone with it pinkish tone. You can wear this on its own for a no makeup look but since I have oily skin . I require translucent powder set this in place. Normally silicon heavy products have a silky feel to them but this feels more like a lotion. It can feel moisturizing during autumn and winter and can be downright greasy if you apply it on a hot hunid summer day. The scent is similar to baby powder and it leaves a tacky finish to the skin. I get the most use out of this during winters as it deeply moisturizes the skin and helps my foundation to adhere better and look smooth. I am not sure if it increases the longevity of my makeup in any way because I usually wash off my face after 8 hrs anyway.

I have noticed that this causes breakouts if I use this in hit weather. Moreover it makes my base makeup crease up more. So if you have oily skin it would be best to reserve this for winters. This appl ys best with fingers, brush and sponge make it look patchy.  Overall I have a love hate relationship with this primer. I am not going to repurchase this infuture as there are lot of good primers out there that work better for my skin type and are fuss free

[Review] Etude House Lucky Together Tom and Jerry Collection Part 2

So I am posting a second installment of my Etude House Lucky Together Tom and Jerry Collection. Today I will be reviewing a lip and cheek product

In honour of the Chinese New Year Etude House released a really cute Tom And Jerry Makeup Collection. ( this is year of the mouse after all )

Lucky Together Tom and Jerry Collection (Limited Edition)

This collection consists of
  1. Colorful Tattoo Tint – a lip tint that includes 4 limited edition shades
  2. Look At My Eyes – 10 eyeshadow shades in glitter and mattes finishes
  3. Two Tone Cheek Dome – a two toned cheek blush ( in 4 color combinations)
  4.  Soon Jung Lip Balm ( in 2 color combinations)
  5. Jerry’s Cheese Puff – a foundation application puff
  6. Lucky Together Bubble Body Wash Set
  7. Lucky Together Glow On Base Set
  8. Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream
  9. Moistfull Collagen Cream
  10. Moistfull Collagen Skin Care Set
  11. Colour My Brows
  12. Face Blur Set

ETUDE HOUSE LUCKY TOGETHER COLORFUL TATOO TINT

This came in four colors. The color range is pretty basic . The packaging is the cutest . It features a very happy Tom. The ears on the sides are made out of silicon . The combination of pink and grey looks really cute

A semi velvet lip tint with Tom and Jerry design.
Glides smoothly over lips for vivid color payoff.
Lightweight and tattoo-like formula offers an easy application.

The applicator of this liptint is pretty standard. The tint itself has a creamy slightly liquid consistency. I usually apply a bit of this tint in the centre of my lips and blend it with my fingers. I have noticed that lasts for around 4-5 hours . There is a slight stain left on the lips. The lip tint is moist so it does not enhance any dry patches on the lips

I got this in PK003 Run! Tom. The color from online swatches appears to be a pink MLBB shade but on my lips the color looked intense and bold. I can detect cool pink undertones mixed in with red color. The colors look very flattering on my complexion

ETUDE HOUSE LUCKY TOGETHER TWO TONE CHEEK DOME

Omg can you just look at that cute packaging. This reminds me of Happy with Piglet edition that Etude House released last year. The cute silicon ears on the sides are so freaking cute

A two-toned cheek blusher packed in dome shape, which is formulated with fine baked powder for a healthy-looking complexion.
Its two-toned color combination allows a more revitalized look.
Glides smoothly on your skin without smuding.

I found the 2 in 1 concept of this blush very convenient.  It combines a blush and highlighter in a single pot. I got this in shade OR202 Refreshing Ensemble which is a beautiful grapefruit color. This is powder type blush. The pigmentation is sheer which can be built with multiple application. I like sheer blushes as they add subtle definition to the face and this really meets my expectations

Jerry’s Cheese Puff – a foundation application puff

This makeup puff is made as the shape of Emmental Cheese - Jerry's soul food.
The pointed edge or surface can be ultilized for facial makeup.
It is easy to carry and keep with its cheese-shaped case.

It can be soaked with water for a moisturized facial makeup.

And lastly a cute cheese shaped makeup sponge honestly speaking this is too cute to use. So I guess I will be keeping it in pristine form on my collection

So that all for my Etude House Lucky together Collection review. Which product caught your interest in this collection ?

[Review] LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Mint Choco

I reviewed the Etude House Mint Chocolate lip scrub last year. As much as I loved the lip scrub I was very disappointed by the scent because it smelled more like chocolate and less mint so I really hoped that this lip sleeping mask would have that mint scent that I love

Laneige recently changed the packaging of this lip scrub (probably because of all the counterfeits that were circulating in the market) so it looks a little bit different now. The glass tub is replaced with a plastic tub and the font on the front a lot larger and prominent.

The box comes with a free silicon spatula. Its cute and very sturdy .

Features

The Berry Mix Complex™ tend the dry lips smooth and tight with the vitamin C and anti-oxidant ingredients.
The Moisture Wrap™ contains dense ß-glucan moisture barrier with hydro-ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, and hunza apricot extract, helping absorption into the skin.

I have heard many great things about this particular mask so my expectations were very high. The first thing I noticed was that this smells very minty ( thanks God ) and very moisturizing as well. I applied a generous amount to my lips before going to bed. I noticed that the mask absorbed into the skin after a few minutes but there was light residual balm like film on my lips to lock in the moisture .

The next morning my lips looked so smooth and plump. My matte lipstick went on smoothly as well

This lip sleeping mask is a multiplayer. This work as an overnight lip treatment but you can also use this as a lip balm and a lip gloss to add a bit of shine on top of lipstick. I don't know about other flavours but this Mint Choco gives cooling sensation to the lips. Personally really love this lip mask and I use this Day and Night when ever my lips feel dry and cracked

LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Mint Choco is available on Jolse.com

[Review] ETUDE HOUSE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish SPF50+ PA+++ Disney Olaf Edition

Have you watched the New Frozen part 2 ? Spoiler : it's visually impressive I got a chance to see it on big screen kast month and trust me I had a great time.

This sunscreen has been on wishlist for so many years. So when I spotted this on Jolse for just 5$ that too in a cute special edition packaging.  I quickly added this to my cart . And it is one of the wisest decisions I have ever made.

This is one of the most loved and recommended Sunblock on reddit. Pretty much everyone with oily skin swears by this stuff. Its also one of those rare sunscreen that don't pill underneath makeup

Features
A non-sticky & no turbidy UV milk that provides long-lasting UV protection with 100% mineral based mild ingredients for sensitive skin.
No turbidy: Anti-greasy & sticky for smooth application while protecting UV without turbidy.
100% Mineral Filter: Softly applied on sensitive skin.
Vegetability: Made of dwarf ground sedge extract, aloe vera, portulaca oleracea extract to protect skin from UV safely.

A soft plastic squeeze tube bottle with a nozzle . This is very easy to use. The formula is watery. So it spills every where if you are not careful. Its moisturizing INITIALLY o application but within few minutes drys down to completely matte finish. It feels so light weight that you can barely feel it on the skin. This gives strong white cast. Since I wear this underneath makeup its not much of a problem for me but if you have any special event planned which involves flash photography I suggest you to skip this as it will give you that ghostly look in photos

Since its winter and I am using more moisturizing products this sunblock is not ideal for current weather as its matte but I am  looking forward to using this in summer. The hype is real . This really keeps the skin matte. Ever since I have tried this all the other sunscreens feel heavy and greasy to me now

You can buy this in regular version ETUDE HOUSE Sunprise Mild Airy Finish SPF50+ PA+++ at Jolse.com

[Review] ETUDE HOUSE Melting Chocolate Lip Scrub Mint Chocolate

I am a big fan of chocolate and I also love mint flavoured/scented lip products so when I saw the newly released ETUDE HOUSE Melting Chocolate Lip Scrub I was so ecstatic. ( lol okay I am exaggerating )

The packaging is cute, feels very vintage with the small glass jar packaging and aluminum/tin lid. This holds a whopping 12g of product

Features
A mint chocolate-flavored lip scrub removes dead skin cells on rough, dry lips.
Contains Cacao Seed Butter and Jojoba Oil that makes moisture film for dry lips.
It nourishes lips while making it smooth and moisturized

The scrub has a pastel green color very much like an ice cream with brown colored particles embeded in it. According to the ingredient list these particles are actually apricot and grape seed powder instead of plastic beads so that is  great news for everyone who is concerned about water pollution and marine life.

Now I expected this scrub to smell something close to After Eight mints  ( remember those lux British confectionary treats ) but the scent was close to ice cream ( chocolate with a hint of mint ). This has a creamy/ balm like texture with tons of hard scrub particles

How To Use:
Take a proper amount, and apply it over lips smoothly. Massage gently and wash off with lukewarm water.

I applied a small amount of the scrub to my lips with a tiny spatula ( side note: this spatula was not included in the box I found this in my makeup bag). Rubbed it in circular motion over my lips and and then washed with water. This leaves a waxy film on the lips to seal the moisture.

Result
My lips felt soft and smooth to touch. With regular use this makes lips look pink and lively. Overall I am quite satisfied with this scrub ( the scent part was a little disappointing but the creamy texture and good results totally  compensate that)

You can find ETUDE HOUSE Melting Chocolate Lip Scrub Mint Chocolate on Jolse website.

[Review] Etude House Big Cover Skin Fit Concealer N04 Natural Beige

After seeing this concealer pop on my Instagram feed multiple times I gave in and decided to try this one out by Etude House. Now I am very picky with concealers and my favourite one so far has to be by Cosrx.

This Big Cover Skin Fit is actually a part of the Etude House Big Cover line which honestly didn't look very interesting to me because the packaging was just meh plus I don't color correct my face and I dont like fluffy sponge applicators but this stood out to me from the whole line because the packaging looked sleek and resembled NARS concealer a lot

Correct me if I am wrong but i think Etude House probably has about 9 shades to choose from ( 2 corrector shades + 7 colored shades). This effort by Etude House must be appreciated even though there are not many shades for deeper skin tone but still 7 shades is a lot considering many korean brands have only 2-3 colors.

Ingredients :

Water / Aqua / Eau, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Phenyl Trimethicone, Lauryl Peg-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycerin, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Iron Oxides (Ci 77492), Acrylates/ethylhexyl Acrylate/dimethicone Methacrylate Copolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Aluminum Hydroxide, Sodium Chloride, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Iron Oxides (Ci 77491), Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance / Parfum, Iron Oxides (Ci 77499), Glyceryl Caprylate, Disodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin, Linalool, Limonene, Tocopherol.

Instead of picking a shade lighter than my own skin color I decided to pick something which matched my skin color completly and looked natural.  I have fair skin and usually pick korean foundations in shade 21 or 22 . I was so happy that even though it says 04 Natural Beige its a perfect match for my skin color

The packaging is very sleek and slim. It resembles NARS creamy concealer and Maybelline Fit me concealer in many ways. The applicator has a really long wand with a rather unique shaped tip. The tip enables precision as you can easily maneuver the wedge shaped tip on different parts if the face ( around the nose, corner of eyes and edge of eyebrows)

This concealer has a nice creamy texture which blends so nicely on the skin . I have tapped it on my face with my fingers and also with a makeup sponge. In my opinion fingers provide maximum coverage while makeup sponge sheers out the coverage . This does such a nice job at covering my pimples scars and black circles. The coverage is close to full coverage

The best part is that this does not emphasize texture on skin, nor does it bunch up around a pimple. Its blends seamlessly like second skin to an extend that one can barely tell if I have concealer on. I haven't noticed any kind of creases on my near my eyes. Since I have oily skin I set this with a loose powder and I was so surprised when my under eye area and pimples were covered even after 6hrs of wear

I can already tell this concealer is going to be my favorite concealer of  2019. Because its not cakey, matches my skin nicely, covers up imperfections and blends easily. I highly recommend you all to check this one out as its worth every penny and its very inexpensive
